You follow the main character Machiya Tomohiro, a cameraman working for the Film Research Club. The only thing he ever wants in life to to record and film. One day he bumps into a girl named Mashiro Mai, who asks him to record her daily life. Being the edgy man that Machiya is, he accepts and continues to film her for the next few days. One thing leads to another and suddenly Machiya finds that Mashiro is a crazy murdering bitch. To end on a positive note: the artwork is very good. It mostly looks quite clean, and there are some gorey panels that looked really great.

Mashiro's life was tragic as told in the manga itself it's implied her Father was a child molester who molested either her younger sister or her and one day she massacred her entire family including her unnamed Father, Mother, and Sister. Only Sane Man: She seems to be the only character who realizes how messed up DEAD Tube really is. She's also the least homicidal and manipulative.Her sadistic nature may have spurred from her belief of beauty coming from things not normally associated with beauty. This was later the cause of her family's murder in an attempt to recreate 'beauty'. Frame-Up: Ten and Justice Man splice the video of Mizuno forcing herself on him with audio from them raping and torturing her so they can kill him in the name of "Justice". Would Hurt a Child: Not only did he allow his daughter to be murdered, the only reason he raised her for fourteen years was specifically to film her being raped and killed. The DEAD Tube House arc sees her team-up with Justice Man once more, even after their first buisness venture as content creators ended in betrayal. Simply put, Dead Tubeis a manga series about people who film things, put the videos on Youtube DeadTube, and compete to see who gets the most views. And our hopeless main character, who is a high school student but also an expert cameraman, gets roped into participating. And through his eyes and camera, we get to see the utterly depraved shit people in this story will do to get more views. Idiot Ball: For someone who has been manipulating Machiya for a long time, Oushima should have put more effort in doctoring a photo while trying to fool someone whose specialty is dealing with footage, immediately noticing such an amateur collage.
