Add a visual dimension to your sets with Serato Video for Serato DJ*. Manipulate the videos with visual FX and transitions, or add your own images, graphics and text. Plus, it supports iZotope Audio FX and karaoke files (MP3+G). The MIDI assigning functions means that you can send controlling information to external devices and access your DDJ-SP1as a controller. With DDJ-SP1’s Serato Video enabled, you get to manipulate videos with transitions, visual FX, and various other functions, such as your own images, text, and graphics.

Pioneer have worked closely with Serato to produce a piece of high quality hardware that would provide an effective and efficient link between them both. The DDJ-SP1 has dedicated controls for all Serato DJ’s features: This midi controller is perfectly tuned to work with Serato software; however, you can also remap the 16 included pads to work with other software too.

Although the DDJ-SP1 specifically supports Serato software, there’s a template available if you decide to use the device with other software. However in recent years, Pioneer has expanded the functionality of its smallest MIDI controller. For instance, the DDJ-SP1 now can work with the CDJ-2000NXS2 and the CDJ-TOUR1 as a hot cue controller. It plugs via USB into one of the players and, through Pioneer’s Pro DJ Link ability, simultaneously controls two CDJs.
