Although, as with the ProBreeze 1500ml, it's a shame there aren't any automatic humidity sensors so that the dehumidifier only switches on when it's needed (the MeacoDry Arete One Dehumidifier is our top recommendation in this respect), despite the fact it has to be left running, energy use is still relatively low thanks to its 23W energy use. That means it doesn't even cost 1p per hour to have running. The energy efficiency of the Arete One is worth mentioning too. At 5p per hour and with optimised energy usage, it certainly makes it an economical long-term solution for combating dampness, mould and condensation in small homes. Additionally, the dedicated laundry mode helps dry wet laundry indoors, making it a preferable alternative to running an energy-hungry tumble dryer.

A minor downside is that it might not collect water at the rated level when used in rooms with exceptionally low humidity. However, this wasn’t a problem for me as the humidity levels in my home were well within this device’s capabilities. Another possible con is that the noise produced by the dehumidifier might be bothersome for some users, although I personally found it barely noticeable. Finally, while the Hysure Dehumidifier 2000ml T8Pro may not be suitable for very large spaces, it was perfect for my needs in smaller rooms. While the CONOPU Dehumidifier worked well in my bedroom, keep in mind that it might not be suitable for larger spaces or those with extreme humidity issues. It’s ideal for use when you’re working or overnight as it won’t disturb the peace.
