About this deal

However, cordless vacuum cleaners are often critiqued for their battery life. Without the use of mains power, you have to rely on charged batteries to continue with your cleaning efforts. And while every cordless vacuum cleaner is different in terms of running and charge time, this is something you need to consider. To make things more efficient, many cordless vacuum cleaners come with spare batteries to ensure you don’t get caught short. To build the charging station, simply slot parts 12, 13 and 14 into each other if you intend to use the floor standing charging station. If you are mounting on the wall you only need part 12.* Beko provides a decent range of accessories in the box including a motorised floor head, crevice tool, large dusting brush and mini-motorised tool, which is ideal for stairs or for cleaning sofas.

There’s no doubt that the Beko PowerClean offers impressive suction power, too. Especially as it’s so much cheaper than the Shark alternative. When buying a budget cordless vacuum cleaner, you need to take into account battery lifetime, charge time, suction power, and the accessories included to see whether the lower price also reflects the quality. What are the top 3 best selling cordless vacuum cleaners? Alternatively, to install your appliance on a floor standing station, follow the below instructions: All of the tools fit into the provided stand, which sits on the floor and doesn’t need to be attached to a wall. It’s a shame that there’s no onboard storage for carrying around your most-used accessories. If you had to name a vacuum cleaner brand, Beko probably wouldn’t come high up on your list. Judging by the quality of the Beko PowerClean Cordless Vacuum Cleaner VRT94929VI, that’s a shame – this is an excellent cleaner, doing well at its lowest setting, and with plenty of power at the top.Once flat, the Beko VRT95929VI takes around six hours to recharge, which is comparatively slow. Effectively, once the cleaner is flat, you’ll have to wait for most of the day to use it again. Well priced and powerful, the Beko Smart PowerClean Pro Cordless Vacuum Cleaner VRT95929VI is great value if you want a powerful and flexible vacuum cleaner. Design and features There’s a secondary post-motor filter at the front of the machine. This needs to be cleaned less frequently, so there’s just the one in the box. Performance Featuring a recharge indicator, users can easily monitor the battery level and plan their cleaning sessions accordingly. Additionally, the vacuum cleaner is wall mountable, providing convenient storage options to save space. It can be a little hard to push at times, and a dedicated hard floor head would have been welcome, rather than the current method of having to swap the carpet roller for a soft floor roller. Still, given the price and high-end performance, it’s hard to fault the VRT94929VI. Design and features

In the box, Beko also provides a large dusting brush, a motorised pet tool (great for upholstery and stairs), a crevice tool and a flexible adaptor, which lets you angle tools for cleaning on top of cupboards. The motorized brush can be adjusted to medium speed, providing a runtime of 20 minutes, or high speed, offering a runtime of 7 minutes. The vacuum cleaner requires a charging time of 6 hours to regain full battery capacity. There’s also an angle tool in the box, which bends to accommodate almost any space; it’s great for cleaning on the top of cupboards and wardrobes. Raw figures are a good indicator of what to expect, but real-world tests are important to show how efficiently the power can be applied to vacuuming. With my next set of tests, I was hugely impressed.

Charging times could be better: it takes six hours to fully charge the vacuum cleaner. This means that once you’ve flattened the battery, it’s likely that you’ll have to wait until the next day to use it again. With the vacuum cleaner weighing just 2.8kg, it’s very light to move around and is even comfortable to hold up high for cleaning around the ceiling. The battery can be removed and replaced, but as there’s no charging for a second battery, keeping two charged would prove to be fiddly. The Turbo figure is much higher than on the Beko VRT94929VI, but the other figures are slightly lower. That might seem strange, but remember this vacuum cleaner has a floor head that can adjust suction, so the true figures differ slightly when in use, and the Beko VRT95929VI can up its power.

The flexible wand proved useful when it came to reaching under furniture, as did the five LED headlights on the floor cleaning head, as they made it easier to see where we were vacuuming. It’s a freestanding vacuum cleaner too, so you won’t have to find somewhere to rest it when you take a break from cleaning. In either mode, the Beko VRT94929VI has headlights at the front of its floor head, lighting a path in front of the vacuum so you can see the area you’re cleaning. Controls are located on top of the vacuum cleaner, with a power button that turns on the vacuum in Low mode. You can then use the ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons to increase or decrease the power, moving between Medium and Turbo modes. There’s no indicator to show which mode you’re in, although it’s easy enough to hear the difference.

60 Minute Run Time

The attachments were also a handy addition, especially as they were used in handheld mode. The ‘Mini Turbo Brush’ is perfect for cleaning upholstery, and the ‘Crevice Tool’ is small and long enough to clean skirting boards or to reach ceiling crevices. Starting on Low power, I saw what seems like a basic 44.46AW; Medium power was a touch above what I’d normally expect on 88.76AW; on Turbo, the cleaner measured 203.54AW – I’ve only seen Dyson cordless cleaners with more suction. I tested the Beko VRT95929VI’s raw suction power in airwatts (AW), which uses a combination of both the lift and airflow. Here, I measured the vacuum at 22AW on Low, 73AW on Medium and a huge 328AW on Turbo – that’s a ridiculous amount of suction power at the top end.
