About this deal

The miniatures themselves are highly detailed and beautifully sculpted, with intricate armor and weaponry that reflect the religious zealotry and martial discipline of the Adepta Sororitas. Players can customize their units with different weapons and gear, allowing for a high degree of personalization and strategy. She’s joined by five Celestian Sacresants, nine Sisters Repentia whipped into a frenzy by a Repentia Superior, and 10 Battle Sisters who can be built as Dominions or Celestians, plus one Cherub lugging a censer along for the ride (because these ships can smell a bit after millennia in the warp and the STC for pine-scented air fresheners is sadly lost to the Age of Strife). Boarding Patrol: Adeptus Custodes The game is played on a board representing a spaceship or space station, and the goal of the Adepta Sororitas is to eliminate the enemy forces and secure key objectives. Players take turns moving their units, shooting at enemies, and engaging in close combat.

Lead your assault with a fearless Canoness, who can be armed with a variety of guns, blades, and relics to slay heretics, xenos, and traitors alike. An elite bodyguard of five Celestian Sacresants follow in her wake, carrying power weapons and heavy shields to sweep the corridors clean. Behind them follow ten armoured Battle Sisters, as well as squad of Repentia, fanatical fallen sisters driven to battle by a whip-wielding Repentia Superior. These are sort of like small Combat Patrol boxes explicitly made to be fielded for the new Boarding Actions. So, expect them all to have a lot of foot sloggers. This box can be used to assemble a variety of units – the recommended build for Boarding Action games is a Canoness, two squads of five Battle Sisters, five Celestian Sacresants, and four Repentia. All models are supplied with their appropriate bases. The Arks of Omen have taken the galaxy by storm! Everyone seems to want one, and more and more factions are mustering Boarding Patrols to get in on the latest craze going down in Segmentum Obscurus. I’m honestly not sure what I’d change about this Boarding Patrol box – it seems pretty solid to me. But we might as well go into a little depth on what we get to provide a bit of context on what they can do on the tabletop. And then we have the highly versatile Battle Sisters Squad. You have a lot of weapon options, but read your datasheet carefully – there are caveats to having multi-meltas or heavy bolters, as you can only have 1 special or heavy weapon per 10 models in a unit. However, it is worth customising your squad to maximise their damage output – both far and close ranged. The Incensor cherub gains you a miracle dice – which gives the ability to perform one Act of Faith, which again is worth a read as their rules and abilities are legion. This time around, there are Boarding Patrols coming from the Adepta Sororitas, the Adeptus Custodes, and the Thousand Sons. Let’s take a closer look. Boarding Patrol: Adepta Sororitas Ensure everything goes just as planned with this bumper Boarding Patrol. Unusually for the Thousand Sons there’s no messing around here, with 20 Rubric Marines and two Chaos Spawn ready to tread the gantries of any space hulk they can find.

Chaos Space Marines are right at home on the claustrophobic corridors of a space hulk, and we’re not even convinced the Thousand Sons register much of the weirdness going on given the forces they tamper with. This Boarding Patrol pairs two Chaos Spawn with 20 Rubric Marines, bringing an impressive number of bodies and a pair of pskyers onto the board while the Spawn make a right mess of anything they encounter.

Is the Adeptus Custodes Boarding Patrol Worth It?

A third of these units sit comfortably within the same price range – and so drive up the overall value of the box, price wise and miniature number wise. Boarding Patrol: Adepta Sororitas – Points The contents of this box comes to a respectable 414 points, leaving you the option of either adding another cheap squad or unit to your boarding force to make the 500 point threshold or absolutely ramming what you’ve got with wargear upgrades. Both options are very viable and will leave you with a strong list to take to the battlefield. My first impression upon seeing this Boarding Patrol box is how well endowed it is with models. It’s a great selection for a Boarding Actions list for beginners and veterans alike – it has an eclectic mix of shooting and melee fighters that would work tremendously in the close quarters game mode. As the box is highly infantry based, it’s definitely going for a bit of a horde list there. Boarding Patrol: Adepta Sororitas – Value
