Acting as something of a bridge between the higher-end features of the Mini LED models and the rather more affordable QLED TVs it leads the way in, the C735 has the potential to be a great all-round solution with sizes ranging from 43 to 98-inch displays – at least in Europe, with the UK set to see the 55 to 75-inch models arrive in September, with the larger 85 and 98-inch versions to follow later. At the time of writing, the larger 75 and 85-inch models were not in the pipeline for the UK market but watch this space! Size / Model (UK) Motion handling is also good, given the inherent limitations of LCD as a display technology and the panel’s 60Hz refresh rate. As a result, there’s some blurring on fast motion like sport, but the RC630K handles 24p content without introducing judder, allowing movies to retain a film-like quality. The BenQ EL2870U 28″ 4K UHD monitor comes with a range of accessories, including an HDMI cable, power cable, and user manual. The HDMI cable lets you connect the monitor to your PC or laptop. It drops things down to 60Hz with de-judder and Motion Clarity Pro, with the older IPQ processor using Machine Learning with SR rather than the Deep Learning capacity of those before it. You’ll also have to settle for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ with Dolby Vision IQ also limited to the C735 and above, but neither is a great loss if you don’t really need it.

As with several of the other manufacturers we’ve featured this year, there’s a clear progression in terms of both pricing and the ever-improving features list as you work your way from the cheapest TVs to the most expensive. This means you should be free to figure out your best option either by setting a budget and seeing what fits your limit, or by determining what features and specifications you need for your own viewing preferences and line-up your choices accordingly. For smooth motion, Motion Clarity is able to catch all of the action without missing a single detail, especially on fast moving objects and people in any series, movie, game, or sport. TCLs own motion software automatically reduces any signs of blurring and keeps motion trails to a minimum. The TV also supports up to 60Hz, which is perfect for all modes of visual content. The TCL 50C635K comes with several sound settings that allow you to enhance the audio quality of your TV. The TV offers different sound modes such as Standard, Movie, Music, and Speech. Additionally, the TV provides various advanced sound settings such as Bass, Treble, Balance, and Surround Sound. The tone mapping was fairly good with HDR10, but much better when dealing with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Since all streamers use one of these formats (mainly the latter), and so do a lot of 4K Blu-rays, this TV has you covered. It doesn’t have the ‘Pro’ status of those before it, but it does come with a Game Master set-up with 120Hz and VRR, ALLM, Stadia certification and most of the trimmings (although FreeSync is limited to the 55-inch model and above). However, it could also be the last in this list to offer genuine high-quality HDMI 2.1 support, so if that’s a key factor for you, then this could be your best affordable option.
