This is a gorgeous little space in the heart of the city with quaint little stores, restaurants, and cafes. Tip: The underground visitor centre offers public guided tours, which last about an hour and a half and are free of charge. 5. Potsdamer PlatzAfter your show, go ahead and walk towards Chinatown, situated right behind Leicester Square, for a delicious dinner. You’ll find a street filled with some of London’s best Chinese restaurants, Asian dessert shops, and bakeries. The Döner was first introduced by the Turkish immigrants in the late 60’s and is a spin off the traditional Turkish kebab. The dish is made of pita-style bread stuffed with meat and salad and will fill you up for hours. Nowadays there are many different versions of the Döner, including vegetarian options with Falafel or salad only. We paid €50 for two pasta mains, a dessert, large beer and half bottle of wine with a bread basket. We thought this was good value and left a €5 tip which, believe me, does not happen often!

While at Potsdamer Platz, do look out for the metal strip on the ground which demarcates where the Berlin Wall used to stand. Villa Borghese is a delightful landscaped garden right in the centre of Rome. The gardens cover an area of 80 hectares and were developed in 1606 by Cardinal Scipione Borghese, who wanted to turn his former vineyard into the most extensive gardens built in Rome.
