About this deal

Perhaps those reviewers didn't watch the 3D film in the best environment, which for me requires the room to be dark ? Rocket League released The Nightmare Before Christmas-themed cosmetics and items for their Haunted Hallows Event from October 18 to November 1, 2023. Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment released the film on DVD again (this time with an anamorphic transfer) and on Blu-ray Disc (for the first time) on August 26, 2008, as a two-disc digitally remastered "collector's edition", but still containing the same special features.

We then get a “Teaser Trailer” (1:40), which emphasizes the breakthrough nature of the movie by highlighting Disney’s past accomplishments in animation and showing some behind-the-scenes footage. A graphic novel retelling of the film by Joe Books LTD was released on July 31, 2018, and digital and hardcover versions were released August 25, 2020. Morrison, Trajectories of the Fantastic: Selected Essays from the Fourteenth International Conference on the Fantastic in the Arts (Greenwood Publishing Group, 1997), 154 Archived September 14, 2023, at the Wayback Machine. The budget was less than any Disney blockbuster so it doesn't have to earn Aladdin-sized grosses to satisfy us. You know, Jack visits Thanksgiving world or other kinds of things just because I felt the movie had a purity to it and the people that like it, because it's a mass-market kind of thing, it was important to kind of keep that purity of it.Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of Halloween Town, is bored with doing the same thing every year for Halloween. Yes you get the weirdness but the music is telling the story about the main character Jack Skellington The Pumpkin King who fed up discovers Christmas Land and hence chaos ensues when he tries to explain what he's discovered to those in his home of Halloween Town. For those who love everything Tim Burton and somehow missed this film like myself then this is a must watch. The film subsequently received three re-releases on October 19, 2007, October 24, 2008, and October 23, 2009. While overblown in its popularity, The Nightmare Before Christmas is still a treat to watch, due to its unique story and animation.

This product has both Blu-ray 'versions' in it, and (when compared to the Special Edition DVD I own) adds a new commentary track on the 3D disc, adding Tim Burton/Danny Elfman but removing director of photography Pete Kozachik; the 2D disc has all the other extras, a lot of which are also 'new'; if you have the 2-disc 'Collector's Edition' I believe there is little new content though. On September 30, 2008, Disney released the cover album Nightmare Revisited, featuring artists such as Amy Lee, Flyleaf, Korn, Rise Against, Plain White T's, The All-American Rejects, and many more. In October 2021, Disney announced that they were hosting another live-to-film concert at the OVO Arena Wembley in London on December 9 and 10, 2022. However, quite recently I got a new TV which was 3D-capable and, despite not necessarily being a massive convert to the format, have watched a few films in 3D with often very positive feelings about 3D.The film made its world premiere on the opening day celebration of the New York Film Festival on October 9, 1993, [40] and was given a limited release on October 13, 1993, before its wide theatrical release on October 29, 1993. A behind-the-scenes art book titled Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas: The Film, the Art, the Vision was released on October 14, 1993, and a Disney Editions Deluxe edition was published July 28, 2009. The site's critics consensus reads, " The Nightmare Before Christmas is a stunningly original and visually delightful work of stop-motion animation. However, when Jack's new mission leads him to kidnap Santa (voice of Edward Ivory), it becomes clear that he is not really in tune with the Yuletide spirit. To adapt his poem into a screenplay, Burton approached Michael McDowell, his collaborator on Beetlejuice. In a funk one day, he wanders into a wood where every tree is the doorway to realms serving one or another human holiday, and falls through the doorway into Christmas. You also get a great selection of storyboards along with the sequences they manifest into, deleted storyboards and an animated sequence with a surprise alternative ending.Though originally released as a bare-bones DVD, Nightmare was eventually given much better treatment. With years of successful home video sales, The Nightmare Before Christmas later achieved the ranks of a cult film. Within a Deleted Scenes area, we get a nice selection of abandoned sequences, each shortly introduced by Selick, divided into two subsections.
