Though Wataru tries to maintain a nonchalant disposition after the confession, he begins to question how he really feels about Saeki as they start to spend more time together through their small promise.

This was so heartwarming and as a film lover, I felt so connected to these characters and their shared passion for film. While the drama played out a little too perfectly in some areas, I really found this to be sweet and endearing. Chiharu never pushes Wataru into an uncomfortable space, respecting his friend’s boundaries, and Wataru doesn’t make assumptions about Chiharu’s actions and doesn’t treat him delicately.Wataru says that Chiharu's confession doesn't bother him, and the boys continue throughout their summer, going to pilgrimages to see film spots from their favuorite movies. Movies bond them together and lead to some real banter, and at least not the “boom, now I am in love with you” approach many other manga in the genre seem to take. Last of all, there’s a map showing all the places on the boys’ film pilgrimage which is – again – charmingly drawn. Wataru says that Chiharu's confession doesn't bother him, and the boys continue throughout their summer, going to pilgrimages to see film spots from their favourite movies.
