About this deal
During this, her three grandchildren are trying to deal with their grief and move on with their lives. I am saddened by Marcia’s death, but we have been left with a wonderful back list as well as this new novella, now published posthumously, which I have yet to read.
The main theme of the book is the need to spend time with God, to be alone to pray and listen and accept oneself as a beloved child of the Father. However she’s quite startled to encounter a young man walking out of the mist; she doesn’t have a good first impression of him, but then again she can’t quite forget him.
So it was with enthusiasm that I picked up ‘Almost Everything’ a couple of weeks ago, determined to read a chapter or so each morning. The other is ‘Peter Duck’, which was never one of my favourites, and which I knew was supposed to be a story that one of the children made up. She makes friends, enjoys playing a few ‘tricks’ on teachers, and gains a great deal from her time there. She also wrote four books under the pseudonym "Willa Marsh", and was published in more than sixteen countries. I was challenged several times to let go of my own inhibitions, defence mechanisms, or need to argue a point of view.
