About this deal

To start the purchasing process, it is necessary to sign in with the Nintendo Account and the Nintendo Network ID. If playing in singleplayer, you’re only ever going to have one Joy-Con activated unless you decide to dual weld. It’s not that the game is hectic in terms of tempo, but there can sometimes be quite a lot of characters on screen at one time.

There are a ton of levels to play through with a huge variety of enemies to shoot and innocent people to save! The game was released in 2019, it’s 2021 at the time of this review so I hold little hope the developer will revisit this now which is a shame. We aren’t spoilt for choice with this type of game on the Switch, let alone other platforms, but regardless, this is a title definitely worth playing, and I think it takes the mantle of light gun games for me until Sega Ages attempt a H ouse of the Dead 2 port. This content may be purchased by users who have registered a Nintendo Account and accepted the respective legal terms.

I really do miss those as you can’t really replicate this type of game on a widescreen TV accurately, but the joy-con is your next best bet, and it works quite well. When I say ‘automated’, I mean where you don’t have direct control of your character other than the aim.To regain access, please make sure that cookies and JavaScript are enabled before reloading the page. Oh, I forgot to mention that there are 3 locations, 60 levels, 3 minigames, about 200 missions, trendy dubstep music, fully destroyable environmental objects, all mixed in a frantic shooter. If the funds have not yet been merged, you will have the option to do so during the purchase process. The only reason I can think the developer implemented this is to stop the player spamming reload, making the game too easy, but a cool down on the reload or accuracy requirement to complete the level would have been much more effective. This is actually handy if you need to recenter your aim and get a full clip at the same time but the problem is the reverse, every time you need to reload, it re centers your reticle to the centre of the screen.

Mad Bullets Review | Bonus Stage is the world's leading source for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, 3DS, Wii U, Wii, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PS Vita, and DS Video Game Reviews with over 5500 in-house reviews to date. That’s what you would have heard in the days of Red Dead Redemption, but for the modern world, it would be more like “step away from the keyboard and put the Café Bombón down”.Of course there is a button to recenter your aim but here is where the real problem with the controls lies for me. Forget about men with no names, folk looking for redemption or new sheriffs in town – this is all about shooting stuff quickly and efficiently as possible. There isn’t any retro pixel art, 3D models or cel shading, just static images, or cut-outs if you like, of various rogues and innocent bystanders that you aren’t supposed to shoot. You can literally plug a mouse into the switch and use it, and it has a touch screen, however the controls are solely restricted to motion controls only with Joycon on the Switch version.

You can forget about boring stories, complicated controls and irritating tutorials, and jump right into a mind blowing, high-speed action. There were times where my sight would go out of bounds and didn’t reflect on-screen what I was doing with the controller. The reticle was either pinned to the top and bottom of the screen with next to no room for movement on screen to aim rendering the game completely unplayable. They are purely optional as you can progress regardless, but it adds a level of competitiveness with a chum.
