About this deal

Celebrate the extraordinary life and reign of Queen Elizabeth II and discover the history of the royal houses of Great Britain. Spanning from the Normans through to the House of Windsor, this exquisite little book captures the personalities behind the crowns and records the landmarks, traditions and events of each reign. I know that there are more detailed works out there, but sometimes a quick bio is all I want or need. Readers looking for reference material on the island's Anglo-Saxon days do be aware that they will need to look elsewhere.

With testimonies from historic figures such as Winston Churchill, Billy Graham, Mother Teresa, and Margaret Thatcher, this tribute explores the faith of the world's most famous Queen. In his lively biographies, David Williamson's paints a vivid and sensitive portrait of each monarch, revealing the dramatic events and controversies that surrounded them. The big names are of course especially fascinating subjects, of whom there are too many among such a lineage to even begin commenting upon. From touch-and-feel books to bedtime stories and non-fiction, we help 0-7s to learn, play and grow - sparking plenty of smiles along the way. Il saw stupid mistakes all over the place which shouldn't be present in a final version for publishing. The kings and queens of Great Britain are brought to life in this beautifully illustrated picture book. I told my wife I could recite the names of all of the Kings and Queens of England from William the Conqueror to Elizabeth II and she said "yes, but please don't!

Since William the Conqueror seized the crown in 1066, England has seen three civil wars; six monarchs have been murdered or executed; the throne of England has been usurped four times, and won in battle three times; and personal scandals and royal family quarrels abound. For more details, please consult the latest information provided by Royal Mail's International Incident Bulletin.

I read this as a story, but will keep this one for reference and it also makes a great coffee table book. But in a boxer-shorts blunder at the Royal Mail, the King's undies have been posted to his subjects nationwide! This quirky tale about the longest reigning monarch in British history is as fun as it is authentic, and the book includes a picture of the actual bathing machine Prince Albert created. But then again, just how could you convince someone that it would be a good idea to spend a life doing whatever it is that Charles has been doing, without them being dumb as dog's shit? It's beyond informational and I find this information is useful to know especially if you watch Jeopardy.
