Sun Woman by Jil Sander 75ml Eau de Toilette Spray

Jil Sander Sun Sea Salt and Genista Eau de Toilette is a yellow floral and salty fragrance for women. This is not a traditional sumer scent as we know them today, it has somehow been decided, that summer scent are supposed to be either aquatic or sitrocy, which is nice enough, but not really somthing that appeals to me. I never had the EDT but I did have the big 500 ml body lotion of it which has a scent so strong and long lasting you don't even need to put anything else on.

They have orris root in common but I doubt is that because it's like an animalic note that bothers me.It’s a favorite and I carry it with me as there’s really no sharp edge to it, but it’s also not childishly sweet. It fits right in next to my other powders, bridging the seasonal gap between LouLou, Kenzo Flower, and Curve Crush. It‘s not a photorealistic caption of the scene I described, but it conjures that image to me, like a blurry picture. To be fair, this one also smells just like Cacharel LouLou (with the sweetness and beastly strength to match! I see a woman from the late 80's / 90's with big brown hair and a red one piece sitting on her lifeguard tower watching as the children below throw around a multi colored beach ball in the bright aqua community pool.

This needs a few weeks/months in dark storage after first sprays to develop the true scent and performance. To me it smells more like a powdery sunscreen, and however sunny and beachy that sounds, I really like wearing Sun in cold weather too. But, in addition to this sweet orange + cream aspect, there's also an underlying medicinal note that reminded my daughter and I of children's medicine (another reviewer mentioned Band Aids. I don't get the citrus notes - but perhaps they help to balance the scent and keep it from being too sugary.But, after a little time it often seems to become heavier as it dries and it feels too much to the point where I consider washing it off.
