About this deal

They say the sutra was a palindrome, but some of the characters have been dropped through transcription. com, has a gallery section with some of the more successful attempts at ambigrams (a pursuit often facilitated by using a stylised font). We do this every morning and every night, which is symbolized by the repetition of finding the CD and starting the sequence all over again. will appeal to all lovers of wordplay, codes, puzzles, anagrams, crossword puzzles and linguistic brainteasers.

The first probably three minutes of the film is repeated frame for frame a little more than half way through. While a little confusing at first (I would have probably watched the movie a third time and wondered if there was anything else), I happened to spot the tip and then the sudden realization stole over me: the rose. Seeing the same footage again, I looked out for other details - the movie is full of cool details that others have pointed out.

We are, though, the only generation between the Norman conquest and the year 3000 to experience two palindromic years within a normal lifetime. This mysterious form of wordplay known as the palindrome in which a group of phrases can be read both forwards and backwards has bewitched and beguiled readers for centuries and, due to its mirrored, dualistic quality, was at one point considered to have magical powers. Guarnaccia's intelligent, comic drawings alter the reading and savoring of palindromes into an altogether new, visual experience - wise, pointed and funny. Did anybody notice that the shoulder bag strap that the human/rat wears is labeled with the infinity sign? It's by a Mike Clelland of Driggs, adopts the road movie genre and is a pretty good effort even if the characters do say "wow" a lot. That is why Karma is so central to the film, because time well spent is, at least according to the film, maybe fleeting but more essential than most of the time spent in one's life. This is why, after viewing this film the austerity of it all lingers with us, much like the scent of a freshly picked rose. A simple commentary on the life of a typical person in today's world, those who are running through life and not getting anywhere. However, at the end of each millennium, the gap is only 11 years, instead of 110, so we had a palindromic year in 1991 and again in 2002 but there will not be another one until 2112.
