About this deal

Bea takes a really relationally immersive approach here- with a lot of flashbacks to help shape our understanding for their dynamics. However that didn’t mean everything was answered straight away, seeing as secrets were still being kept and mysteries were still to be unravelled. She makes me feel so much emotion while I read and I love that she consistently prioritizes her characters making emotional progress before any spice comes along, it makes the spicy scenes feel so much more significant and intimate and unsurprisingly I loved it in this book too! Now that I know what they sound like, I'm going to be doing a reread and putting the voices to them while reading. I'm hanging on by a thread about 2 hours from the end of the book and its a lot words and no action.

It examines their complicated relationships; we see the lies they tell as well as the rare moments of honesty they share.Guilty pleasure, not gonna lie, and there were hints in book 1, which makes sense with how close the guys are, and I hope we get more in book 2! Arden ,Lorcan and Carrick form the Deana-Dhe they trade in debts and secrets and lies and Cyn goes to them to find out who killed her mother and now they’ve cashed her debt to them in. I usually go for the Lorcan character and not saying I didnt like him, but he actually wasn't my favorite, Arden was. I can't wait for Arden, Lorcan, and Carrick to prove their worth, and for old friends to help join the hunt.

We get the flashbacks and present time in book 1 so we get to see why they treat her now the way they do.For every chapter or event in the present that they experienced, we got to see the history that sparked that turmoil for them. Read the triggers on these books and the Dancer and the masks books because if you're sensitive to dark and twisted content then these aren't for you. There wasn't a lot of actual steam in this one, but a lot of tension, voyeurism, and one overall scene towards the end.

Arden, Lorcan, and Carrick deal in secrets and when it's time to pay their debt, you don't dare disobey. One thing to add is just like with Their Obsessionduet, Bea had me falling hard for one in particular that being Lorcan. Her stubborn strength, her mysterious powers, and her inherent goodness attracted the boys' attention.
