Flash type and range: 36 infrared light LEDs that can illuminate night scenes without visible light up to 30m. This is much better with the firmware upgrade installed, but still some blurriness occurs from time to time. The camera is really within its glory at night, but still suffers some blurriness if the animals are in motion.

Detection range is at least 60 feet most of the time, and the detection field is about as wide as the field of view of the camera itself. Every image and video taken with the Trophy Cam is stamped with the date, time, temperature and moon phase.

The video quality is still the stand-out feature, and although daytime footage is sometimes a little under-exposed, night time footage is still pretty good and well lit if you get your camera positioning right. Video mode: Full HD 1920x1080 from 5 to 60 s of night duration at 20 fps and up to 2 minutes during the day at 30 fps. My suggestion with these types of cameras would be to use them on the native setting (3 MP here) or one res up from that to save having big file sizes for no gain in quality or possibly getting a worse image . This product has been thoroughly tested by our team of photographers and we are happy to give a 6 month warranty as a result.

It’s difficult to get a few sticks behind the Bushnell due to where the strap goes through, and the curved edge of the strap holders means that if you do but something behind, it can slip out quite easily. A redesigned latch system means that there is just one large latch to undo rather than the traditional two smaller latches. We use standard alkaline batteries in most of our camera traps, and Bushnell always last the longest, even under a good amount of usage.
