About this deal

Because the blade will not rotate at high speed and there is no hidden danger of cracking and splashing, it is very safe to use. When complete I was able to start the motor and the tool has worked for over an hour today finishing my task.

I’ve considered getting a dedicated detail sander but to be honest I suspect they all suffer from the same problem so I don’t see much point in shelling out more money – I’d be interested to hear about peoples experiences with other detail sanders though. Has anyone found that when using this multi-tool by Bosch that the screw that holds blades has a tendency to work loose when being used? Its sturdy construction, combined with its soft grip handle and high idle speed, make it a reliable and versatile choice for various projects. It seems to like cutting in on a diagonal and not being pressed on too hard, but it gets through nice and cleanly. The Bosch PMF 180 E has a variable control switch to control the oscillations between 15,000 and 20,000 per minute. Having seen some other online reviews, like on this webpage, indicates possibly (in my opinion) either a poorly designed circuit or there is a poor quality component on it. The grinder boasts an idle speed of up to 21000 RPM, allowing for quick and precise material removal. Since opening it up, the motor also seems to get stuck a bit, making that noise when you stall a drill.

Built with premium materials, it ensures durability and longevity, making it a reliable tool for both professional tradesmen and DIY enthusiasts. You may not, except with our express written permission, distribute or commercially exploit the content. I have to admit that the reason it’s getting a review now is because I want to have a rant about one aspect of the tool which is absolute rubbish. Bosch accessories – all the range have over 8,000 products (drill bits for concrete, metal, wood and other materials, chisels, router bits, cutting blades, abrasives, etc. Multitools like the PMF 180 are more suited to cutting underneath the architraves etc when laminate flooring for example.

Having fixed many electrical appliances over the years I felt sure the fault was minor as the tool had not overheated and there was no smell suggesting an internal fault. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging .If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. You can find a replacement sanding plate for the Bosch PMF 180E Multi multitool at several retailers in the city of Barcelona.

To make things worse half the fuzz ends up stuck to the pad which then has to be pulled off by hand or the next sheet won’t stick properly. Testing showed that the fault was on the speed regulator printed circuit board but nothing obvious (like the triac). Those awkward trims that used to have to be butchered out, often ruining tools in the process and cutting all sorts of materials in awkward to reach places.Looking on the web I found a common fault was the crimped connection from the coil windings to the motor board. Has its uses but could be better, i used it to try and cut under skirting boards and it ended up with be ripping them off anyway as the tool took forever and went blunt. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. The blades are, admittedly, expensive for what they are but as long as you avoid hitting nails and other metal they last a fair while.
