About this deal

It isn't as simple as slapping a beat onto the music and speeding it up, actual thought goes into the process which allows an organic feel to permeate their work. Despacio, the roving audiophile soundsystem which the Dewaeles undertake alongside LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy, completes the picture. They work with all the major payment providers across the Globe and you can pay in your local currency.

A record that boosted the mash-up mix-style of old and new material and (sometimes their own) special rare remixes. With a sound that reached for garage rock and art-damaged dance punk in equal measure, Soulwax positioned themselves as something of a fulcrum between the warring camps right as the indie kids started to want to dance. This was a mix so giddy, creative, genre-blurring and downright fun that it could only be considered equal to a full-length album - which is exactly what happened, tallying Album of the Year and Album of the Decade accolades from the likes of The New York Times, Spin, The Face, Pitchfork and more, and shifting over half a million copies globally.Alongside like-minded allies such as Erol Alkan, Tiga and Jacques lu Cont, 2manydjs swept dancefloors into delirium, gifting a rock ‘n’ roll attitude to club culture. By 2002, their project Soulwax (then predominantly seen as a “rock band” though the lines were already starting to blur) had crossed over from Western European curio to the forefront of the more US driven post-punk revival. This album is great in so many ways, and no matter what your taste in music- I reckon it'll be a hit with you. My favourite thing about this album was watching a group of drunken Irish men bounce around the room to Dolly Parton.

This album isn't on Spotify, and I have fond memories of listening to this album on my old iPod and discovering so many new artists. Before listening to this album I wouldn't have said I was a fan of this type of music, but after listening to this I've discovered a whole new genre!Sensing a need to split between their duties, the name 2manydjs was adapted for their more club focussed endeavors, debuting with the now legendary As Heard On Radio Soulwax Pt.

Of course, this compilation was but the very beginning of a journey for the duo and the Deewee label. You could easily trace the emergence of mashup culture back to this - and in truth further back, but this really demonstrated how well some tunes so diverse can so easily meld together. v=1684756819","options":["Title"],"media":[{"alt":null,"id":31760496328962,"position":1,"preview_image":{"aspect_ratio":1.will perform at London’s Brixton Academy on Saturday December 17th alongside Miss Kittin, Charlotte Adigéry and Bolis Pupul and other 2002- specific special guests to be announced. With a foothold each in the worlds of indie rock and dance, there’s perhaps no better beachhead into the early aughts than this work from the Dewaele brothers. Whether that’s my own ignorance, turning my back on my teenage dreams as I matured into adulthood or, as it happens, it’s actually quite rare!
