Just continuous questions from Sera, and yes it WAS cute the first two books but this quirk is just magnified by a million and it felt like I was in a lecture hall in college listening to my professor drone on and on. Ohhhh and when a name appeared on the pages, that I never once thought we would see, I gasped out loud! By that third chapter I was screaming with excitement because of how something tied back to the very first book, From Blood and Ash. If I had to describe this book in one sentence it would be 'This is what happens when all-powerful beings don't go to therapy. For if they rose, they did so as blood and bone, the ruin and the wrath of that once great beginning.Leaving Sera deeply afraid she’s going to be unable to put him off long enough to free both Ash and herself before Kolis tries to get intimate with her. and I'm so frustrated on all of the hints (since the first book I picked it up, I might add) on what's coming but of course that's skated over the entire series. He just seemed clueless about acceptable social interactions and how to behave with someone you care about, and overall I almost felt bad for him at times because he appeared more like an unstable, sick Primal on a power trip, than a scheming and vindictive one. The first 50-60% of the narrative is particularly delightful, providing insights into Kolis's motivations and behavior, adding layers to the story.
