About this deal

Although this is the third book in the series it could easily be read as a standalone - there is enough backstory of the characters for the plot to make sense. This felt particularly poignant given the current circumstances, highlighting that despite fear and uncertainty, we should try to find joy where we can.

I’m happy to recommend this to readers who enjoy saga style historical fiction and/or watching Downton Abbey. The arrival of elegant principal dancer, Hélène Marchmont’s estranged family bringing news of their own to the hotel exposes her most precious secret, thereby placing her future in the Grand Ballroom on the line. Being with your partner may feel like rainbows and unicorns, but that doesn't mean you have a healthy, functioning relationship.Imagine having three life-coaches who had been through the toughest mental and physical challenges; a crack team of problem-solvers who knew in their day job that one mistake could be the difference between life - and death. In fact, the only bad thing I can say about the whole experience is that I am now hanging for book four. Still reeling from the events of last year, and with guests decreasing as foreign tensions mount, the staff of the Buckingham will have to struggle to keep up the hotel's glamorous reputation. When fiercely independent chambermaid Nancy Nettleton first moved to London and the Buckingham hotel, the last thing on her mind was finding love, let alone falling for the debonair demonstration dancer Raymond de Guise. I love how this book carried the stories of its main cast forward - enough that you felt progression, but still left wanting more.

I can’t begin to tell you how much I’ve enjoyed writing this series of novels, and I’m so excited to be able to share this third instalment with you at last. Bob Johansson has just sold his software company for a small fortune and is looking forward to a life of leisure. Meanwhile Lord Edgerton’s stepdaughter, reformed addict Vivienne, is unbeknownst to him still continuing her good works and putting her allowance towards the Daughters of Salvation charitable enterprise, ably assisted by Raymond’s wide boy younger brother, Artie. Also available: One Enchanted Evening, Moonlight Over Mayfair, A Christmas to Remember and We'll Meet Again. In this controversial and exciting listen, Pollan explores caffeine’s power as the most-used drug in the world - and the only one we give to children (in soda pop) as a treat.

But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. As Strictly's longest running professional dancer, achieving a remarkable decade in dance on tour with his professional partner Erin Boag, and as a much sought-after personality and presenter, Anton is the perfect author to lead the reader to the dancefloor as never before. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events. It has a wonderful feeling of being both grand and ‘common’, with so many different classes mixing throughout. We work closely with publishers and authors to ensure that we offer the best books on the market for your child. As the band strikes up in the Grand Ballroom to celebrate Nancy and Raymond’s wedding, one thing is certain – this will be a Christmas to remember. In this five-part series, US happiness expert and positive psychologist Michelle Gielan and British journalist and author Oliver Burkeman explore ways to become truly happier, backed up by scientific evidence. It's not just about them working, and dancing in the evening though, as this story is set in 1938, a year before WW2 began, and the author bids some very big nods to the coming of the war, in a way which is sympathetic. The book feels like it’s winding up to this big moment and it never seems to reach the dizzying heights I feel it was trying to reach.Access to the Plus Catalogue—thousands of Audible Originals, audiobooks and podcasts, including exclusive series.
