About this deal

They sound great, come with good noise cancelation, and they boast tons of cool rock heritage – it’s just a shame that Marshall couldn't undercut Sony by a little bit more to provide a truly cheaper alternative.

In addition to the cables mentioned above, the package includes a denim-look carrying bag and instructions for use. Marshall is one of the most prominent manufacturers of audio equipment in the world, so thankfully just because it made a pair of Bluetooth headphones doesn’t mean it got rid of the headphone jack. A warning on the durability from a user perspective: If you are interested in Marshall headphones, check user reviews on durability issues. The only thing I’d wish for was a little more self-confidence from the treble in favour of transparency.jacks for sharing music, the big new addition this time around is far more practical: active noise cancellation.

Opening with the dulled, muted echoes and reverberations of a crowd which gather and become clearer, and clearer - the Marshall Monitor IIs surround the soundscape with subtle, creeping sounds that rise, and rise - until you're slapped with the punch of the drumbeat - powerful and cutting, and you cannot help but move. Maybe I will put some heavy "mileage" on these (once we're all able to leave the house) and see how they fare. A single knob on the main headset is able to perform multiple functions which makes this limited functionality stand out even more. We don’t think they win out in terms of audio fidelity or noise cancellation either, but there’s plenty to love about these rocking over-ears.Another slight drawback of the Monitor II is its so-so built-in microphone which has its fair share of distortion and volume issues - but a good microphone isn't why you'd purchase a pair of Marshall headphones. And then, in come the midrange vocals with Lindsay Buckingham's calm, soft tone backed by both Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks, lulling you into a blissful, melodic groove that's never sounded better. It’s also extremely convenient to be able to access hear-through mode using a button on the headphones, rather than having to go into an app to do it -- in my experience, relegating any control to an app means it’s exponentially less likely to be used. It's just a shame that despite this long battery life they become uncomfortable after a couple of hours wear. That's with noise cancellation switched on, too – turn it off and Marshall says you'll get 45 hours of wireless playback.

A sturdy foldable design, excellent controls, a comfy fit, customisable noise cancelling and great all-round sound performance are sure to make these cans a big hit. The headband is cushy but stable — it doesn’t slide back over my hair like the super smooth one on the Bose 700. Behind the hard shell of these headphones, however, there is a soft core, especially the padding, which extends under the black imitation leather of the headband over its entire length. Fans of Marshall design who like the look of its famous amps should find this headset to be right up their alley. With Protect Plus for your headphones, you'll get 2 years of protection against accidental damage alongside your guarantee.
