About this deal

In cosmetics, it’s often in products that are supposed to keep your skin matte as it has great oil-absorbing abilities. All in all this is a great everyday foundation and I will for sure be purchasing this again in the future. Read more about the condition New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging is applicable). Concealer is needed to fully cover blemishes, but that isn't a big deal as I don't go for full coverage foundations generally.

As for skincare, it makes the skin silky smooth, creates a subtle gloss and forms a protective barrier (aka occlusive). Skip the misleading ads, paid bloggers, sponsored Instagrammers, and enjoy some real information from other redditors. L’Oreal describes Pro-Glow as an air-light foundation with medium coverage and a radiant finish with up to 24 hours of wear time. When I say that I've been waiting two years for L'Oréal's Infallible Pro-Glow foundation to launch in the UK, I'm not joking. I love a foundation that makes me look glowy, dewy and lit from within, could this be the one to do it? I find that foundation just naturally sits much better on super dry, flaky skin when it is properly hydrated. When I was looking at swatches I decided on 202 Creamy Natural which is the second lightest shade available as it looked more neutral toned than the first shade but this shade does have a very slight grey tone to it but it is a perfect match for me, for reference I am Vanilla in the Too Faced Born This Way and an NC15.

Honestly, I had very low expectations and I decided to try it on a day off, just in case it failed as I thought it would. L’Oreal hadn’t released it here and with it being a release last summer (I believe), I’m beginning to wonder if they ever will. We created Compact by Design to identify products that, while they may not always look very different, have a more efficient design. As I mentioned before, I have dry skin and this feels very hydrating without emphasizing any dry patches. But the second time I wore it I was disappointed because it looked a lot more matte and got even more so as time passed. The foundation claims to be a "medium coverage" which seems correct since I only needed one layer and I only used setting powder under my eyes for brightening. This is a medium coverage foundation, and while it doesn’t look shimmery, it is fairly moisturizing and will give anyone’s skin that glowy, dewy finish that you see on the runways. The longest I keep a foundation on my face is for the length of a work day and I’ve never had an issue with foundations fading on me but that’s probably because I have extremely dry skin. After trialling for a few months now, I wanted to share my thoughts on this foundation, and how I find it for super dry skin.

I’ve very curious how well this foundation will perform in the winter when my skin is a bit drier and in need of hydration. It is so natural and lightweight, yet covers everything that needs to be covered without feeling cakey or looking super obvious.

I’d say coverage is medium and hides imperfections decently but I still like to use a concealer on blemishes or uneven skintones. Yes – definitely gives luminosity that doesn’t come from shine and yet, it feels smooth and hydrating which is quite spectacular in terms of formulation technique; it’s a fine line between dewy and shiny. With it freshly applied I’d say I’m more of a 205 and naturally without definitely one of the paler shades. A 'glowy' long-wearing foundation is notoriously hard to find, so when Pro-Glow first launched in the US back in 2016, the Internet went WILD. Well as you can see in the swatch above the Pro Matte is a little darker and has more of a yellow undertone, where the Pro Glow is more of a lighter neutral undertone.

While my skin is better than it has been in a few months, I do still have quite a bit of discolouration and spots and this has pretty impressive coverage! But I can get away with a fairly natural make up look with this one and still feel ‘fresh and made up’. First off I’m sorry I didn’t post at all last week, work and life have me busy lately so I was pretty bummed I wasn’t able to get anything posted.

There are quite a few swatch images out there and its fairly easy to work out what shade you will be.
