About this deal

Enter Lee Stafford Heat Protection Shine Mist , our multi award-winning heat protecting hair hero that's been a must-have in your routine since day one. Heat wise I did have to place them back into the pod more often than I expected as they cooled down quite quickly for the thickness of my hair but overall I really enjoy using them! I think my hair has too many layers in it to work that well but I’m sure if you have any hair skills you would be able to do a better job! I loved the feel of these in my hand, I felt as if I could get a good grip without worrying about them slipping from my hands. The straighteners feel nice and sturdy, they are not overly heavy, something very important for me, and they have a 3 metre long swivel cord.

With antioxidant-rich Green Tea known to help protect hair from environmental factors, like damaging free radicals and UV rays, as well as everyday heat styling, while Pro-Vitamin 5 helps improve softness and shine. With an ionic function, the Academy straightener generates negative ions to make your hair frizz-free and manageable. If there is one thing I dread in the morning other than actually waking up and getting out of bed, its knowing I have to faff about with my hair!

The floating plates prevent any unwelcome snagging, with added ceramic conditioning for wonderfully healthy looking hair with plenty of shine. Then I took off the heat protection guard (which is fab, by the way) and opened the straighteners up. Anyone who has ever tried to photograph themselves straightening their hair will know that its no easy feat, and there is a very good reason why I am a parenting blogger and not a beauty blogger! My hair was left straight, smooth and frizz-free – something that I struggle with achieving as my hair although thick is quite fine. I also love the fact that the buttons are on the inside of the straighteners meaning there's less of a chance of turning them off half way through doing your hair. Drying and straightening my hair is a real chore, it can take hours sometimes and this is time I just don’t have to spend hence it mainly being tied up. We don’t believe that they’re ceramic, though – a material that’s long been lauded as the best for straighteners, and certainly the best for your hair.

It's attracted to the negative charge that builds up on hair and causes static flyaways, and neutralises it to smooth things over. However, they don’t glide through the hair with the same effortlessness as models such as the Cloud Nine Original Iron. Not only do they have the hottest design around they also have titanium plates - Titanium plates are the way forward providing ultimate smooth styling! The control buttons are on the inside of the straighteners meaning you don't accidentally turn them off or adjust the heat when using them and the straighteners have an automatic shut off after an hour should you leave them on accidentally which is brilliant. The nano silver titanium plates allow your hair to glide through with ease in one effortless flow giving you silky smooth straight hair.

These straighteners come with a five year guarantee, which I think is great as if you’re using them every day, they’ll get a lot of use. There might not seem to be a huge difference between the two, mainly because my hair is really quite straight to start with. They’re effective at both straightening and curling, go hotter than you could ever want, and come with some handy extras in the box. And actually does make them easier to use, they’re a bit more grippy in your hand than ones I’ve used in the past. The straighteners come with a 5 year guarantee (subject to registration) which I personally think is brilliant, it takes a couple of minutes to register the straighteners and they're covered for 5 years.
