I’m aware that these other features make the controller more marketable, but having a controller that doesn’t drift and can always be re-calibrated when you need to means you can market consistency in an industry that is infamous for its lack thereof. What that means is the sticks don’t touch internal circuits that could be prone to wear, thus avoiding the dreaded stick drift that has plagued so many controllers in recent years. Offer a version that doesn’t have the extra features such as input recording/playback, turbo, stick or trigger sensitivity adjustment, or any of the other settings that are so hard to remember that the manual needs to be on hand.

I have fought the urge to change the caption of the above image to “You’re so close that it’s almost not even worth mentioning, Gulikit!All of your inputs are measured, shoved through the controller’s firmware, and then it outputs back into what you’re playing. This is something that might not be a concern to casual audiences, but a 20% deadzone is a deal breaker for professional play in any capacity that relies on deadzone being something as small as 1–2%.
