L'Eau Super Majeure Intense takes a whole new direction with a woody, aquatic Eau de Toilette formulated by Master Perfumers Aurelien Guichard and Fabrice Pellegrin. I like to think that fragrances do not have a gender, but this is overflowing with pure machismo, I don't think any woman will pull this off. I don't have much experience with AdG Profumo, but I do with Essenza, and I can indeed see lot of similarities between this particular fragrance and Essenza. There is something that I have noticed is that with heat, this thing becomes a force to be reckoned with (nice little pun for ya there). This combined with the longevity makes it a fragrance that shifts, I sprayed this on a scarf once and didn’t recognize it anymore the day after, it turned into a soft amber and wood scent.
And the Cashmeran, Patchouli, Leather, and Smoke keeps that slightly darker feeling going through the mid and dry down.The tonka gives it a bit of depth and honestly makes it quite interesting as I don't think I have any others within the genre with a noticeable dash of it. It burns a very rustic leather and brings sweet touches that reduce the smoky sensation that emerges like the trail of a bomb detonation.
Its woody touches are oily and are divine on colder nights, although in the heat it did not let up and was in the form of a cloud of half an armful catching all the attention that approached around it. Top notes are Citruses, Clary Sage and Rosemary; middle notes are Sea Notes, Sea Salt, Cashmeran, Woody Notes and Patchouli; base notes are Smoke, Amberwood, Tonka Bean, Leather and Madagascar Vanilla. I was surprised to see when I got him that Fragrantica didn't list 'Fresh spicy' as one of the main accords.If you don't or if you don't like Amberwood/Ambroxan then also skip this I would say because it's at the forefront of this fragrance and it's quite strong.
