About this deal
Although the adversities where cool I really enjoy the ending since I predicted what was going to happen and then the author throws a curve ball. Perhaps to see if you might be interested I guess, in which case this is again a good place to start.
This anthology features an Ultramarines series tie-in by Graham McNeill featuring the Iron Warrior Honsou, a prequel story to the Salamander series by Nick Kyme, a tie-in to the Imperial Fists series by Chris Roberson and Deathwatch and Night Lords stories, setting the stars ablaze with the fury of the Space Marines. The Skull Harvest" by Graham McNeill, "Renegades" by Gav Thorpe and "The Labyrinth" by Richard Ford are true gems. Scaevolla, a veteran of the Great Heresy, Black Legion champion and squad-leader, is compelled to seek out and duel the genetic descendants of his once-friend and eventual enemy, Captain Aleph of the Imperial Fists. However, many of the stories were a little disappointing for me, not really capturing the essence of the Adeptus Astartes.
Oh there is the inclusion of Huron BlackHeart the Tyrant and it was interesting to see that every chaos space marines present on that reunion bow to him. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints. The Skull Harvest' by Graham McNeill - Chaos warbands, including the Iron Warriors who show up in other books, fighting in some sort of competition.Story three `Renegades' by Gav Thorpe is an okay story about a company of Avenging Sons Space Marines as they fight a loosing battle for the world of Helmabad. There are some stories about loyalist marines slicing their way through hordes of xenos and so on, but quite a few stories are about Chaos marines, initiates etc.
