New York radio and television personality Long John Nebel provided Adamski with a forum to promote his books and photographs, though Nebel did not hide his personal skepticism. This second visitor brings him to a Venusian Scout (flying saucer) and this, in turn, brings him to a mother ship. Peverell Marley, had examined his UFO photos and found a "spaceman" in them, and Marley himself declared that if Adamski's pictures were fakes, they were the best he had ever seen.

Realizing that the student was not yet equipped to be the teacher, for many years he traveled around the nation, earning his living at any job that offered. Adamski authored three books describing his meetings with Nordic aliens and his travels with them aboard their spaceships: Flying Saucers Have Landed (co-written with Desmond Leslie) in 1953, Inside the Space Ships in 1955, and Flying Saucers Farewell in 1961.Four more saucers joined the group, giving the two pilots and their stewardess time to observe them thoroughly.

But then you have what are otherwise brilliant men like Carl Sagan and Ray Bradbury, on both ends of the science and science fiction spectrum as well, who were sure there was life out there in the mathematical potential of millions of Earth-like planets and worlds, but there just aren't "Martians". Ruppelt, then head of Project Blue Book, who dropped by, incognito, in 1953 to find Adamski holding court and hawking copies of his UFO pix.Happily, the library had a shelf or two of books about unidentified flying objects and I went through all of them, picking out the more interesting ones to read. It is the purpose of this book to find out just what that something could be the authorities do not wish us to know.
