I found Genesis to be along similar lines to his other books but with a bit of a twist - or so I thought anyway .Every time my phone pinged with a message my heart sped up (you'll understand what I mean if you read the book). This was an absolutely dark, gritty, gory and twisted (when it comes to the MO of the killer, the motivation isn't really twisted - like I said sometimes the killer is relatable) book. The character comes home drunk after a night out and starts getting messages from her phone, asking how her night was then turning a little sinister.
