This book ticked a lot of the typical horror clichés: a mysterious death, a scary house, creepy little girl, weird brother, family secrets and DOLLS. The ending was written brilliantly, and had all the right elements to cause you fear and panic, as well as that rush of adrenaline you get when you know the whole gig is up. Highly recommended, and do not read if you are afraid of demonic ghosts, and SCARY as shit little naked, porcelain dolls that have no arms or legs!I decided to read maybe just the first few pages to get a feel for the writing and atmosphere of the book but reading the ‘first few pages’ was a huge understatement.

When Rebecca finally reaches the cliff edge, Piper kicked her sister in the face and threw snowballs at Rebecca causing her to fall. Overall, this was a pacey, fun read – spooky and atmospheric – with a lot of genuinely scary scenes! Full of plot twists and turns and creepiness by the barrel full, if you like a read that will keep you guessing and get your heart racing - you've found it.Check out Sleepless by Lou Morgan, also from the Red Eye series - the nightmare begins when you're awake. The prologue was incredibly gripping, but because it was set in the past, being thrown right into the present story after it was a little bit disconcerting. I wasn’t really sure about which one was the strangest, but they certainly had some strange ideas, even the one that was dead! So, Sophie is going to visit and comfort her cousins, Cameron, Piper, and the weird little Lilias, (who has the most weird obsession and fear of her bones!

There she met some great people and had a lot of fun messing about during lessons that were clearly meant to be extremely solemn affairs.Her cheerful tone had disappeared for the first time since I’d arrived so I didn’t dare ask any more questions. A girl with amnesia and a boy suspected of harming his girlfriend overcome adversity to find the answers they seek. For some years these ranged from dolphin trainer to animal shelter vet but then, at fifteen, she had an epiphany involving John and Robert Kennedy and decided to become a lawyer instead. well this starts out what will become the closing of the school for ever, the tragic death of the headmistress and some others are so well written that I actually thought about it at night when i went to bed.
