The mesh of the 880 v12 feels stiff especially compared to the hypoknit material used in other New Balance premium shoes. While wide-footed testers were pleased to find an upper that fit, others were disappointed by the overly roomy fit, with their foot floating in the toe box.For those in the market for an affordable, high-performance shoe that offers unparalleled comfort, look no further. The previous version, the New Balance Fresh Foam 880v11, already had the presence of the Fresh FoamX compound in its midsole ensuring a high level of reactivity.

It's not bothersome to have two different densities, but in all honesty, I don't see the point in having a dual-density foam when the singular version works perfectly fine.
