About this deal

One spray of the made in Germany formation and I am still catching whiffs of it in the air over 10 hours later. It might not stack up against some of the newbies on the scene for longevity and sillage, but if you’ve been around as long as the early 70s, this still deserves a place in your top 10. I love the citrusy casual positive character this fragrance projects, but it is elegant at the same time. probably some greenery in there, it has a fresh breezy aspect, and I will attribute that as well to the lavender. The neroli, lavender and other notes combine to provide this very clean, high end detergent vibe (like nice hotel bedsheets) underscored by the wood and tobacco that adds some heft and masculinity to the whole mix.

Made in France version, batch code 0069HM, March 2020 made bottle, 125ml,brand new, absolutely legitimate product. Smells like someone just had a shave and is now rolling a cigarette with fresh tobacco but hasn't lit it yet. This would be a killer office fragrance btw, I can't imagine anybody taking offense and it's just a bad ass scent, I think most people would like this and you could even get compliments. You get citruses and florals in the opening, but as it dries down, it essentially smells like a slightly more powdery laundry detergent.drydown on clothes smells like you just put on new shirt with high quality laundry smell, imo it is really beautiful and gently. We're proud to announce that our mailing bags are made from recycled polythene and are also recyclable, and our bubble wrap is made from recycled plastic and is completely recyclable. You may not think they are suitable to give as a gift, but they are perfect for your personal use (or perhaps for non-discerning family and friends). After conversing for a while, and talking about the good times you used to have together you realize that they've changed, you don't know exactly how, but the spark of companionship the two of you used to share is no longer there. It is extremely versatile in terms of time of year and occasion (it’s casual, it’s smart, it’s formal.

Unfortunately, it's still nowhere near my beloved Made in Italy bottle, but perhaps a tad more pleasant or tolerable than the previous versions? I recently purchased another 200ml bottle as a "made in France" backup, however, I received the made in Italy version 2023 release. NB: I get very good longevity from this, but you aren’t going to leave a monstrous scent trail anywhere. Wearing this a bit more and familiarizing with scents, opening I get is citrus like they describe, that mandarin only coming after reapplying once.

I’ve heard the current formulation is much weaker and doesn’t last as long which is a shame as this is an amazing scent! Anyways, this scent is not bad, its citrus-y focused so has a bright uplifting vibe, but then again it is not a light scent but quite thick. there is a touch of powderyness like an aftertaste, which I might contribute to lavender perhaps, but orange blossom is the by far dominant ingredient. You can smell it and Azzaro or Drakkar next to it and definitely you can pick up the similarities, of course intertwined with the increased levels of freshness that were more en vogue in the 90s and which continues to this day.

This version smells maybe , on a good day, 50% same as the original, but, it is still nice on it's own.I know this isn’t ever talked about as a blue fragrance, but what is a blue fragrance if not a 24/7 365 anytime anywhere fragrance?

The strongest of these notes are the sage and lavender for a soft and clean aromatic feeling, followed by the cedar and tonka bean for a woody and sweet background. Did a blind test with my colleagues (males and females at their 20s) at a rainy day time (air-con environment, but little humid). This iconic fragrance is housed in simple, sleek glass bottle that is as elegant as the man who owns it. I loved it but it was a bit to masculine but layering it with a vanilla lotion (vs bare vanilla golden is my go to right now) takes some of the sharpness out of it and makes it smooth and cozy. They mention that it smells lovely, it's a brilliant product, and that it'd be a great gift for a partner.A classic and timeless scent for the modern, elegant man with the style and iconic power of an italian gentleman.
