About this deal

This is meant for summer, but unlike the extremely interesting and well-made Light Blue Pour Homme Sun (2019), doesn't explicitly scream "summertime" and really doesn't communicate anything, nor will really stand out anymore. However, after the dry down I start noticing that it starts to smell a little bit like eggs which is very unpleasant in my opinion. Definitely apply this strictly for summer and on skin, never on clothes otherwise it will smell bad. Throughout the whole life of the fragrance, that almost rotten/foul note lingered in the background which was super off-putting.

Light Blue Eau Intense has all the aspects of making knees weak and thighs perspire with the added bonus of lasting in the heat. most of them starts off with good intentions then their audience grow up and they reveal their dark facets after a little while. This fragrance isn't pretending to be natural and the perfumer clearly was going for a happy vibe with this one. I really hope they toned it down in the recent batches, otherwise I don't see myself wearing this much often other than hot weather on the beach vacation time. Whatever aroma-chemical gives it that rancid wetness is probably the same thing that helps it perform better than the original.

The first time I smelled this fragrance I was a little unsure, I liked it but couldn't completely decide. I'd pick the original over this any day since I value scent over performance, and the original performs well enough for me. Suffice it to say I find this flanker acceptable, but not in the least bit interesting, which is slightly more than what I thought of the original Light Blue Pour Homme (2007), but not enough for me to wear or recommend.

Everything is geared toward being super fresh, intense, while still being usable for when it gets hot. It opens with a blast of freshness from the citrus and drys down into this amazing musky woody smell. This is quite disappointing considering how striking the bottle is, but as they say, don't judge a book by its cover. Lasts about 6 hours on my skin and projection is arms length for two hours, elbow length for the next two, and a skin scent for the last two hours. The fragrance of this perfume is prominent , discrete , salty, aquatic , citrusy ( but not harsh or intrusive), quite balsamic , just a little bit to provide an earthy-base accord.Personally, it smells like a fruity hospital, but after a while that theme starts to die down into this pleasant grapefruit note. Normally I’m not interested in masculine fragrances , but I was looking something “blue, aquatic and salty “ to layer with floral, airy and velvety perfumes. Fortunately for anyone finding the bottle hard to resist, the women's version is very doable - light, citric, airy and with a cool woody drydown - definitely unisex. It's an aquatic freshie with kind of a salty ocean vibe but not ocean as in fishy more like a sea breeze saltiness. I appreciate there is nothing ground breaking going on here but its just done so well I cant help but love this one.
