Much like its predecessor, this camera features a 5" touchscreen LCD display with 800 x 480 resolution, which enables monitoring and playback as well as an efficient means for navigating the menu and entering metadata. The interface uses simple tap and swipe gestures to adjust settings, add metadata and view recording status.

It toggles the feature on or off but does not give the user any other control over intensity, color or range. The camera is capable of recording Ultra HD 4K (3840x2160) and 1080p video using the 10-bit Apple ProRes 422 family of codecs, as well as the visually lossless, compressed 12-bit CinemaDNG RAW at 4000x2160 resolution.We tested our sensor for this by recording three clips with the lens cap on at each of the available ISOs; 200, 400 and 800. Conveniently placed below the right thumb rest, you can quickly change shooting speed with the high frame rate button, zoom into the image with the magnifying glass, access setup menus and quickly play back shots for review. The only imperfections we could see were those actually present in the printed chart itself and not a result of poor resolving power.

This model has the same features as the 5" 12G HDR model, with a larger 7" HDR screen, recording to SD Cards and external USB‑C disks, plus support for Blackmagic RAW from supported cameras.
