About this deal

To bardzo fajnie łączy całość i oczywiście trochę popycha do małej refleksji na temat tego, ile naszych własnych wydarzeń miało miejsce przy tytułowym stole. This book seemed to be everywhere in 2022 and was recommended in many of the lists produced at the end of the year. As readers we go from being zoomed into the individual characters' minds and lives and then suddenly being shut out when their situation comes to a head.

Chociaż lektura należała do całkiem przyjemnych, obawiam się, że nie jest to historia, którą zapamiętam na długo. We also use them to help detect unauthorized access or activity that violate our terms of service, as well as to analyze site traffic and performance for our own site improvement efforts. The action all takes place using the focus of eating and drinking - this made me think about my world and realise that food/drink provides a foundation for most family/friends get togethers. The food and drink theme as an ongoing connection starts strongly but weakens quickly as you realise that virtually every social interaction has the same link - from a cup of tea to a full restaurant meal and everything in between.

Brilliantly clever and funny and sad -- India Knight --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title. There was a half-hearted attempt to tie this saccharine story in a bow, but it ultimately fell so flat that I felt cheated. And I didn't think the Lucy/Jamie relationship- which had been going on for ten years - made sense given that he was so lukewarm about the relationship. I found it a fascinating topic, although for me, done far better by Helga Flatland in A Modern Family.

An unpleasant story about nasty people being horrible to each other and those they come into contact with.

So when Linda and Gerry announce that they've decided to separate, the news sends shockwaves through the siblings' lives, forcing them to confront their own expectations and desires. This is such a real portrayal of family life, warts and all, that it took my breath away with its accuracy.

A Little Luck is the story about the debilitating weight of lies, the messy line between bravery and cowardice, and the tragedies, big and small, that can ripple out from a single decisive event.
