I had a bottle that lasted less than a week because I was constantly trying to get it to stay which it never did. Coty claims they did not change the formula but I know how the original Amazing Grace used to smell AND last all day, and then some. Its a clean not quite white amber scent vs pure grace which is more of a clean soapy scent, for comparisons sake. Philosophy inspires beauty beyond skin care with products that transform, results that instil confidence and wisdom for wellbeing. Previously it had a moderate sillage and great staying power - along with a beautiful clean soapy, flowery scent.

There is no doubt Coty has changed the formula, probably to make it cheaper, the scent is now sometimes sharp and sometimes smells a bit like bug spray and it has absolutely no longevity or sillage, can barely smell it.

At the time, Philosophy was getting a lot of attention in the beauty press, with so many people raving about the range, so I guess I just bought into the hype. The delicate scent remained prominent throughout our meet-up despite the strong aroma of vegetable curry, coffee and wine lingering from our table.

It reminds me of early Issey Miyake fragrances and their cool crisp enthusiasm for a stylistic cleanliness. I just think that I know too many older women that wear this, so it’s hard for me to feel “young” and “modern” in it.

There is an EDT version as well, which is in almost exactly the same packaging, except it doesn't say "eau de parfum", or even "eau de toilette" on the packaging. Now I smell mostly alcohol with a small remnant of what the scent once was - no staying power and zero sillage. I tried 'Amazing Grace' as that was the one which seemed to be most popular, but when I went in to smell my wrist I was just like "eh, is that it?

I'm not sure if I'll like the EDP better because it was a rose note, and I'm not a fan of a rose accord. I love the soft feminine light fresh airy smell the original gives but this one comes off as more fruity and sweet. I don't dislike this, but I'd need to be in the mood to wear something of this pitch to reach for it.
