Told in letters that are mainly written by Noah to his parents in which he shares all about what the children have been up to over the course of five days (and nights), which includes foiling a robbery. This experience has been fantastic primarily for the children, the school and also for me (professionally).

You guys are such a force for good and I am a passionate supporter of Indie booksellers, so I'm so happy this worked out well (I'd love to know how many books were sold if you have it to hand - it felt like quite a lot!

This wacky, comical, entertaining tale reels its way through to the final rescue involving foil blankets and hot chocolate. Steven lives with his partner Jay and his dog in Crouch End where he dunks endless amounts of biscuits in big red spotty cups of tea whilst listening to Radio 2. Then they will laugh at the adventures of the children struggling on using only their own wiles and brains: “I don’t know how Henry VIII died.They get into scrapes together, bake some poisonous cakes, almost ruin their school assembly and finally have a twintastic birthday party. I bet this would be a great class read for a Y5 or 6 class - it’s fun and relatable with lots of dilemmas to discuss, including whether some aspects of life might be better without the internet.

Going into this book I wasn’t quite sure if it would be something I was going to enjoy mainly because it is for school. Steven Lenton is a multi-award-winning illustrator, originally from Cheshire, now working from his studios in Brighton and London with his dog, Big Eared Bob. is an interactive self-care activity book for children aged 6+ to colour and doodle their way to happiness, calm and confidence.

With no way of knowing when, or if, they’ll be rescued, Noah and his sister’s classmates must learn to work together if they’re going to survive. While I can't speak for the other examples I just gave (because I haven't read them, and won't read them, so don't even think of asking), Noah's Gold works, thanks in no small part to Frank Cottrell-Boyce's wit.
