About this deal

The heal support has dropped – a good thing as early shoes were too high and agitated the calcaneal (achilles) tendon. Protect yourself from the harsher parts of the trail, and help keep your beloved shoes in one piece a while longer. We use marketing, analytical and functional cookies as well as similar technologies to give you the best experience. Sit back and relax in the comfort we’ve put these garments and accessories through their paces, in the gym and on the mountains!

I found that the 12 (my normal size) were cripplingly small, my toes horribly crunched up in front, as well as the midfoot a little pinched. There is no affiliation to any manufacturer and I gain no advantage from saying something is particularly good.First impression of the 300's (other than the incredible yellowness) is that the fore-foot seems a lot wider than any other mudclaw I have ever worn. Nothing grips better than the Mudclaw 300 by Inov-8 in mud, whether it be tracks, trails, hills or an obstacle race. The EVA foam, 6mm drop and Meta-Shank all work together to make this a great shoe for longer days out. Please Note: Shipments sent outside of the UK are sold exclusive of VAT and may be subject to local import duties and taxes.

deep DUAL-C STICKY lugs spread in a multidirectional pattern gives you grip whether you are coming up or down hillside. Firstly the studs will feel different but you’ll be glad for them, they’re going to grip and help stop you face planting. Precision for my relatively wide foot is great when I need it but I wouldn’t want to be running all day with my toes cramped into a shoe. I received a pair of MUDCLAW 300 at the 3 Peaks Race last year, where I was taking photos with the guys from inov-8.Durability: A Dual-C combination of medium sticky and hard sticky rubbers ensure the studs stay strong over time and continue to deliver.

At the front of the shoe, just behind where the toes would sit is a clearing in the sole with a META-FLEX™ this allows the shoe to bend without restriction when running. They've been around for a year or so, and are very obvious on the race scene as there are so bright despite the best efforts of the mud and bog to diminish their insane brightness. If you're running on the moors this winter, ok they may be expensive, but seriously, I don't think there is a better shoe out there. If you’re regular running is road, you’re going to notice a different feel when you don some fell shoes. However, the Mudclaw doesn’t fit as tightly or as snug as say the Salomon S-Lab Sense SG (the perfect fitting shoe for me!

For me, the Mudclaw although precision in fit still had a relatively roomy toe box and this was great on the technical muddy stuff. The Mens MudClaw 300 Shoe from Inov-8 propels fell and mountain runners over the Muddiest of terrains by delivering the ultimate grip in Mud through an aggressive outsole. Even when fully saturated they feel light in comparison to other shoes I’ve run in, a testament to their ability to shed water and the upper fibres ability to release water. There is no question of whether they will find traction, leaving you confident on technical descents, you will remain in control. It’s not a light mesh equivalent of the Trail Talon 275, but in winter the added substance works well.
