About this deal

Make Time is practical and engaging, offering tips on everything from designing your day to the benefits of cutting out cable news and eschewing plane Wi-Fi in favour of time away from work.

Instead of scrolling through your social media news feed, this is a much better way to spend your spare time in my opinion. If willpower alone isn’t enough to defeat Infinity Pools, and if productivity just makes the Busy Bandwagon stronger, how do we escape their clutches? Many of the techniques are tiny and straightforward but still impactful, like signing out of social media accounts so that you need to put in just a little bit more effort and thought before getting caught up in a distraction. I defy you to read this book and not come away with ideas that make you happier and/or more effective in accomplishing what you want in life.

In fact about 60-70% of the book is very practical: particular "techniques"/concepts you can use on the daily basis. This is a useful, but superficial book from the authors of Sprint: How to Solve Big Problems and Test New Ideas in Just Five Days. Summary: I think it is a well- written book but I don’t think I am the targeted reader, few of the points were irrelevant to me and few were too extreme for me such as the internet free phone! It's highly addictive to get core insights on personally relevant topics without repetition or triviality. The authors touch upon various topics including physical exercise, healthy food intake, mental exercise (meditation), taking breaks, power naps, and caffeine breaks.

In today's fast-paced, technology-saturated world, readers are sure to glean insights from this powerful book.

Com frequência, nos esquecemos de como passamos nossos últimos dias ou perdemos o controle do nosso tempo. Instead, it offers a customizable menu of bite-size tips and strategies that can be tailored to individual habits and lifestyles. Productivity experts Jake Knapp and John Zeratsky have created a four-step framework that anyone can use, packed with more than 80 tactics to help you design your day around the things that matter. The authors are designers by training, and they clearly understand how to keep the path smooth so that their users will be far more likely to actually use their product. It’s about rethinking the defaults of constant busyness and distraction so you can focus on what matters every day.

This is the modern mindset that tells us that we must squeeze as much work as possible into every moment of the day. Time and focus mgmt is something I'm very keen on - that's why I read every promising book on the topic. Exhausted by the Busy Bandwagon, we’re easily enticed into plunging into the Infinity Pools and passively soaking up their content. This will be a motivational push for you to focus on highlight as well as others will not be able to book you for it.
