Since the first edition published more than 100 years ago, Machinery's Handbook has been acknowledged as an exceptionally authoritative and comprehensive, yet highly practical, and easy-to-use tool, and the new 31st edition has grown to nearly 3,000 pages. The current standard seems to be dated 1956, and there is some unclear information about a reduction in standard hex sizes at about the time of WWII. Others who relied on Marks' and often stymied were amazed at how quickly I could find a solution in Machinery's. All used books might have various degrees of writing, highliting and wear and tear and possibly be an ex-library with the usual stickers and stamps.
