About this deal

So, I decided the best way to fix the drip whilst enthroned, was to squeeze a load of LSX onto my fingers, then reach back and liberally apply it to the general area of the leak.

Great product to keep in the van, will get you out of a tight spot with those annoying little weeps on compression joints.P302 + P352 IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water/…P332 + P313 If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/ attention. If u have a slight weep, unfortunately the best thing to do is take the nut apart and add LSX to the olive. Will you then be able to open the compression nut months, years afterwards ie lsx sealer does not become rock hard. Although designed mainly for plumbing fittings, It is really good for airlines and small pneumatic fittings and can also be used as a slow setting "locktite" on nuts and bolts, and some bearings, the sort of thing that's always useful on the shelf.

It is the superglue of sealants, and is not removed by water even when fresh from the tube (well durr! And by now BOTH of my hands were coated with the LSX I won't go into every detail, but I am sure you can imagine the situation! We’ve built our reputation on reliably supplying plumbing products delivering to companies of all sizes as well as home owners and DIYers. For threads u want 18 or so wraps of ptfe and then a smear of LS-X, and then it’s perfect for smearing round the olives too. It sets quite quickly - in low pressure systems, provides a good seal within an hour to few hours, depending how thick.

If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. The Fernox LS-X is a proven, fast acting, silicone paste which is used as an effective external leak sealer and jointing compound. Apply LS-X direct from the tube and mould into shape using a spatula or knife previously dipped into soapy water to prevent adhesion or dragging. Use it all the time for making tank connections in on cold water tanks , I always use it when making shower tray wastes in and I’ve never had a problem .

I wanted to use some, if suitable to bed and seal a through the hull fitting to the bottom of my mash tun or if there is a better option fire away. It also sticks to most surfaces, including to PP (polypropylene plastic) - tried other solutions, but none worked as well as this.
