Well, if you are someone who truly needs FULL coverage on the under-eyes then I would definitely recommend checking it out. Dry, emphasizes lines, and finicky This had pretty great coverage where I didn't need my color corrector, but this concealer was so drying and it creased instantly and throughout the day in my crinkly lines/crows feet around my eyes. Resveratrol: Provides antioxidant benefits to help protect against skin damage and visible signs of aging. You can see the wear test yourself, it's still covering my undereyes very well even after 11 hours, which is very impressive.

I've been looking for a new concealer to try and this one really just hit me right in the face when I was browsing Beauty Bay collecting products for my next haul. It's funny how deceiving can photos be, because the elf Camo concealer it waaaaay lighter than this one and you cannot even really tell. I feel like it’s one of those situations where if you like more matte and dry formulas you’ll like this. A bit of a sloppy ingredient name as it covers not one but three pigments: red, yellow and black iron oxide.

Guess what, it looked awful on my skin: it is dry and drying, it creases despite trying different eye creams for prep. Compared to the pure form it's more stable, has longer shelf life, but it's also more poorly absorbed by the skin. It’s safe and gentle, but even more importantly, it’s not a feared-by-everyone-mostly-without-scientific-reason paraben.

So it comes with a little 'but' because I don't like scavenging all my powders for a more hydrating one everyday. This delivers a creaseless, soft matte finish with a concentrated formula thats sublimely smooth, so you wont have to wait long to attain complexion perfection. It also helps to disperse insoluble particles (think color pigments or zinc/titanium dioxide sunscreen) nice and even in cosmetic formulas. I find it’s important with this concealer to go in with a very light hand and build up to the coverage you want versus applying all the concealer you’d need in one go.A really multi-functional helper ingredient that can do several things in a skincare product: it can bring a soft and pleasant feel to the formula, it can act as a humectant and emollient, it can be a solvent for some other ingredients (for example it can help to stabilize perfumes in watery products) and it can also help to disperse pigments more evenly in makeup products. Although I do love the coverage that Tarte Shape Tape provides, I have been on the hunt for a concealer that covers just as well without being quite so drying. Not only does it offer airbrushed levels of perfection, it nourishes skin with ingenious ingredients including hydrating hyaluronic acid and age-defying resveratrol so your face will look better immediately.
