About this deal

Well home isn’t wired, that is something I have been wanting to do (clarifying… hire someone to do as I am not going to crawl around my attic ha! The looks of the infinity mirror and the halo effect of the ROG eye logo feels futuristic and properly premium. I wouldnt get hung up waiting for wifi 7 to come, unless you are transferring absolutely massive amounts of data internally I dont know that most people should even really care. But after the latest firmware that was recently released this issue was fixed and I was able to connect at 10GIG speeds at the ai mesh router.

It can be many things but chances are you have some connection-related settings on the router or the laptop itself.Simply put, if this were your setup, and you were temporarily limited to a wireless backhaul solution – would you choose the ET12 as a node? In many ways, it's a strip-down version of an add-on firewall, like the Firewalla or the subscription-based Armor from Netgear. Feel free to direct me to an article with the best answer, I read as many as I could that I thought would help answer my question.

It also provides excellent Parental Controls which assign comprehensive, timed access settings for different users and/or devices. I am, however, building a new and much larger home (4000 sq ft, 2 story with a finished basement) which will be complete in August.

Actually i tried updating them via the AiMesh page on the UI but it didn’t work (the fw version remained the same), so maybe i should try to manually upload the firmware? I HATE the look of my axe11000 and it isnt even wall mountable so you have to put it on a desk \ table, it takes up a ton of room because its like gargantuan. Using LAN aggregation you can bond two 1 Gbps LAN ports together to create a 2 Gbps LAN connection, which is great for supplying extra bandwidth to high-bandwidth wired network devices such as your compatible NAS or desktop PC. The big selling point for me here was FINALLY a home router from Asus with 10gb ports\multi gig ports, I think this is their first. However, this is not a big surprise considering Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E share the same speed grade — the latter only had an edge in DFS-unfriendly areas.

Synology’s Wi-Fi 6 flagship is very fast and packed full of features that can run a demanding smart home or SMB office. The “max speeds” depend on many things, but you can look at the Performance section above to get an idea. I was waiting and wanting 10gb ports, other than the cpu and additional band thats the real benefit to me. There is also evidence that hardware vendors will largely skip over Wifi 6E and go directly to 7- notwithstanding the few devices that now have 6E. To deliver (close to) true 10Gbps, a router needs more than just a couple of 10Gbps Ethernet network ports. As for security cameras, get a Synology NAS server — more in this post, or you can get an Unifi controller just for that. If you are looking for the absolute best wireless router for home, the GT-AXE16000 is your best choice now.
