About this deal

There’s still some utility in making an argument for someone’s time and attention when it comes to a book or a movie or a video game, but why tell someone what records they should listen to when it is utterly frictionless at all times and in all places to summon songs up through one’s devices and listen on their own? All three of its singles charted on the UK Singles Chart, with "Whippin' Piccadilly" reaching the highest at number 35. However, there is more genuine gold to be found on this expanded reissue, as the unreleased recordings provide some fine enhancements to the original release.

Described as a blues rock album, Liquid Skin was compared to the work of Beck, the Grateful Dead, and Pearl Jam.Two versions were released on CD: the first with "Flight" and "Rosemary", while the second featured an "X-Ray" version of "We Haven't Turned Around", "Gomez in a Bucket (A Seaside Town Made of Ice Cream, Slowly Melting)", and "Emergency Surgery". Preceded by a two-month tour of the United States, "Bring It On" was released as the lead single from Liquid Skin on 28 June 1999. Complete with the original line-up fully intact after all this time, they celebrated the 20th anniversary of 'Bring It On' in 2018 by playing it in full on tour and releasing an expanded version of the LP.

Combining this with the vast array of newly released demos, it is easy to see why the album is worthy of the 20 year re-release. Now, 20 years after its release, the band is preparing to release a celebratory anniversary edition of the album, complete with previously unheard material, including the nearly forgotten song, “Someday”. In his teens, he wrote the indie fanzine Supernova from 1997 until 2000 and has been writing for various music sites since 2010, including his own Rewind/Fast Forward site.

le vere perle dell'album arrivano alla fine; due brani di oltre 6 minuti con echi di psichedelia westcoastiana ma anche per quel gusto malinconico tipicamente inglese. Someday' moves into lo-fi funk-folk, and hip hop beats to fuel the very odd and very impressive electronic blues oddity 'Summer', another cut from the archive that would've made 'Liquid Skin' a more diverse collection. We Haven't Turned Around" features cellos; it originally began under the title "Canderel" with a different chorus section. Vote up content that is on-topic, within the rules/guidelines, and will likely stay relevant long-term. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

It is a delta blues song that opens with Ken Nelson misquoting the opening line from Pink Floyd's The Wall (1979), followed by a loud bassline. The Kurt Cobain-esque vocals of frontman Ian Ball allow the track to maintain a strong foothold within the American influenced alternative rock genre. Totally unintentional, it’s just the way I sing,” says Ottewell on the line from his Brighton home accompanied by his dog.
