I think the third book is coming out next month if I'm not wrong and I CANNOT wait because Book 2 ended with yet another great cliffhanger.

Obviously she despises her husband, King Midas, and hates what he’s done to her kingdom during his reign. We slowly got to see Auren became the woman she only thought she could dream of being, to see there is more to her than being Midas’ golden pet, to see behind that ascent into greatness…but not 100% there yet.She is surprisingly naïve despite her traumatic childhood making her a very difficult character to root for.

There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data.As I said… Big Rhysand vibes here, but I’m not complaining at all, and Auren’s growth also reminded me of Feyre’s. It got better than it started, not because of the “plot twists” (I saw ALL of them coming from a million miles away. The voicing of such vision shifts from ecstatic to abject; the idiom is constantly sliding, smearing, merging to connect phenomena and feeling in work that opens a new approach in the ecological awareness currently driving poetry on both sides of the Atlantic.

The pacing in this one definitely skews more towards the slow side, mainly contained to one location and building up to some pretty dramatic reveals! All the grief, all the worry, I wrap it up like old yarn on a spool, tucking away every frayed strand. In her eyes Midas can do no wrong she is blind to all of his many flaws she has set him on a pedestal so it was then heartbreaking to witness the blinkers Auren has been wearing for so long finally ripped from her eyes. I like it actually – Auren has been used and abused by someone she loves/d and who claims to love her but really has other reasons and she needs to reclaim herself.I also really hope that she will be able to get her revenge on Midas for all the shit he put her through, because even though he provided her with everything she might need, she was still in a toxic and abusive relationship with him for the past 10 years, and he knew exactly what he was doing every time he manipulated her into doing what he wanted or making her feel guilty for wanting more than a life in a cage.
