I thought Revival, Glenglassaugh's first expression since its re-opening was really good for such a young whisky, but this Evolution isn't just good for a young whisky, it's a great whisky full-stop.

Maturing in barrels that once held George Dickel whiskey, this expression provides a unique and captivating experience. It doesn't even come across as that youthful, certainly not spirity like most malts of this age, it seems easily 2-3 times older than it actually is, that's what you get when you have well made spirit and good quality fresh casks. This expression was matured in first-fill ex-George Dickel, Tennessee barrels and shows great depth of character. My only criticism is I would like to see Glenglassaugh being a bit more open with information like the age, there doesn't need to be a big number 3 or 4 on the front label but just mention it in the product description, we know it's young so why not present yourself as an open and honest distillery.The driver will input your year of birth into their device and may then require an ID check to complete the age verification process.
