About this deal

Everyone knows that owls are nocturnal but one curious little owl decides to take a long nap at night so she can stay awake during the day. I'm not going to give this a star rating, as I don't really know how to translate this into numerical form.

Cupar has fun finding the mouse and pointing him out, which adds an extra bit of interaction to the story. Julia Donaldson has written some of the world's best-loved children's books, including modern classics The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child , which together have sold over 17 million copies worldwide, and the hugely successful What the Ladybird Heard adventures. He moved to England in 1982 to study illustration at the Bath Academy of Art, and then set up home in London. This book takes on the story of a fox who has lost his socks and goes around the house trying to find them.

There are only a couple of lines on each page that make it perfect for a toddler to read without getting too bored halfway through. Axel is the illustrator of wonderful novelty, gift and poetry books for Macmillan, such as Fish Who Dream of Trees (Two Hoots) and the bestselling The Bedtime Bear , The Tickle Book and Mother Goose's Nursery Rhymes – and of course, he is the illustrator of some of the world's best-loved picture books, including modern classics The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child , which together have sold over 17 million copies worldwide. Axel Scheffler is a book illustrator best known for creating artwork for children's books, particularly The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child written by Julia Donaldson. Did I read this book just because it's the 26th of december, I'm behind on my Goodreads challenge, and I figured I would be able to read it within thirty seconds?Without wanting to give it away, the manner in which Fox focuses on finding his socks but conveniently finds everything else he needs to wear along the way is so much more interesting than if he were to say at the start of the story: "Right, I need a vest, a shirt, a hat, a bow tie and both my socks. There are lots of pictures to look at, flaps to lift up and a lovely rhyming storyline to follow along with. I don’t enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy reading some of the other books that Logan has which is why I’ve only given it three stars.
