About this deal

The nearest update will be attaching a custom sleeved cable, and the next is maybe to put a 1080p 144 FPS capable GPU without being overkill with as beefiest form as the case can accomodate. inch hard drive, you can use the space for a 240mm radiator, though as previously mentioned, you can use only one 120mm fan to cool it. Please allow 2 working days for a response as some item's enquiries with international suppliers may be required. Independent Power Supply Airflow: T he air does not even get into the case, it c tools your PSU and gets out again.

The artwork of the box follows the orange/black color theme of the company and is mostly based on pictures of the case itself. Our motherboard lacks a PCI Express x16 slot, so we weren't able to install a high-end graphics card. I'm running an i9-9900k fully boosted CPU at 30-45C, but the graphics card runs hotter than I like, so I had to set up an aggressive fan curve that means the fans are louder than I like when running 1080p-ultra. Then I realized that I didn’t need them, since the QBX’s metal chassis was had riser globes already punched out.

I dare to delid a CPU and put liquid metal in it, but I never get the convenience to use any liquid coolers inside a PC.Cougar advise however if you are going to use a 240mm then only one half of the radiator can be cooled due to the close proximity of the PSU. Besides as you pointed out, it is still an option for the builder who wants to invest that extra scratch. On the more expensive end, the high end Silverstone and Lian Li cases have some of the best build quality I've seen. Pro-Cooling design: the openings and fan placements are located to ensure a constant fresh air flow.

However, this might not work if you're installing an optical drive, which is a bummer because as it turns out, finding the right size PSU with a compatible plug orientation isn't easy, especially if you rule out generic (read: low-quality) units. If I could change anything it would be the horizontal clearance between the PSU and the motherboard. There is a meshed version of this case with the name Cougar KAZE for those of you who want more airflow. Fitting the power supply into place is satisfying, because there are no screws required: it snaps into place and is held rock solid by the metal flanges. Gave everything a clean, took the PSU apart and cleaned out the fan and suprisingly not much dust inside for 8 years of almost continuous operation.

Cougar's marketing is making some very bold claims regarding the performance and capabilities of the QBX. It was not on the list of "approved" cards for this case, and I did have to make a minor modification to the case, grinding out a small tab in the back of the case so that the PCB could clear and be seated into the PCIe slot. I’m debating whether to upgrade to a 120mm AIO next as the ryzen 2700x I have in here is power hungry and vertical height for air coolers is something to consider. Here you can see most of the planned components of the build, with the Cougar QBX already opened up.They also appreciate that it has room for a full size power supply, up to 7 fans, and a triple fan GPU. and I was so happy when I'm still safe by 1mm gap from the cooler heatpipes to the rear case fan, so I dont have to use a slim 92mm fan, there's no compromise is taken in this sector. There aren't any flashing LEDs or other design choices that scream, "Hey, look at me…I'm a gaming PC!
