We get to meet Holly and Luce’s boyfriend interests in this one, Ollie the librarian and Will the landscaper in a dinner set up by the mothers. We’re going to find the culprit and anyone who directed their actions and pursue them with the full force of the law. I was bored for most of it, but I like the idea of the setting/characters - just didn't work all that well. I enjoyed our introduction to the town, Harlot Bay, as a dying seaside town, which was once a favorite destination of pirates for a specific reason (cough cough). It’s well documented here but – importantly in discussions with my Bangorian husband, I don’t know if its saga worthy or not lol! Add to that how she can see and communicate with ghosts, and Harlow is a woman who never seems to have a dull moment. While the fear of witchcraft is clearly rooted in a form of sexism to modern eyes (although not all witches who were hanged were women), it was considered a fact of daily life in the minds of the educated and uneducated alike during the 17th century. The case involved a 15-year-old girl who was a domestic servant for the family of Samuel Willard, a prominent Puritan preacher with a penchant for fire and brimstone.

For me, since it doesn’t taste like anything, seeing witches butter in the landscape is more of a novelty than something I want to risk collecting and eating on a regular basis. Disclaimer: I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author in exchange for an unbiased review. She chewed it, and said it’s tastes like ben gay, and then corrected herself and said it deosn’t taste like anything, but that it gives her tonge that “icy hot” sensation that vicks vapor rub gives you in the lungs when you rub it on your chest. He’ll never come right out and say it, so this is where we end up: an online journalist being asked questions outside her official circle of knowledge. According to the source, Mary had insisted that the son, who was married and living miles away, be part of the ritual.

I actually have that on at least 2 to-read lists, 5 screenshots, Kobo, Kindle and Google Play Books wish list(I think), but I keep seeing new books and get sidetracked 😅.
