About this deal

That's not necessarily a good thing though - history can also spell 'dated' (and I've never looked at Churchill as a man I want to smell like in any event). I had fond memories of "English Fern," so I went there to ask which of their fragrances could be considered the driest, least frivolous, and, more importantly, which would accommodate this stench of smoke that would not go away. Blenheim Bouquet was created in 1902 and takes its name from Blenheim Palace, the seat of one of England’s most respected bloodlines. Walter Penhaligon created Blenheim Bouquet for the 9th Duke of Marlborough with notes of lemon, spice and wood as a tribute to the best British gin. Being fans of Penhaligon’s ourselves, we thought it was time to run one through our Fragrance Formula to see how it fared and whether it has stood the test of time.

This fragrance is a tribute of 1902 to the dukes of Marlborough and their Blenheim Palace, donated in 1704 by Queen Anne to John Churchill, first duke of Marlborough, as a reward for the homonymous victory against the French.

A fragrance to give or treat yourself, as a symbol of time that passes without changing what really matters. I have a large mostly niche collection, but I can see myself wearing this a lot in Summer, as a great go-to casual. Just wait 15 minutes or so before you walk outside with it, or you are going to have some stoners with the munchies following you looking for fruit loops. The numbness that lingered all over New York for months did not encourage any sort of enthusiasm, so I just gave it a brief whiff: It smelled of wood smoke, like everything else, with a bit of pine and lemon.

The fragrance takes me to a woodland of a morning with a cool breeze, surrounded by pine trees of which very prominent to me in this fragrance. Please read the full reviews and consider your own needs and preferences before making a purchasing decision. I guess what I'm trying to say is that while they would smell wonderful, there's one or a few ingredients they use that makes them smell inexpensive and like there's a lingering hidden odor, if those ingredients that repeat themselves in almost all their fragrances weren't there, most would be great fragrances.I feel like I must be suppressing a memory of smelling this on someone who acted terribly, unforgivably, because why do I intensely dislike this objectively tame and pleasant scent? Its is also interesting to smell the fragrances Penhaligons started with just for the history interest.

After a short while, the wearer will begin to experience the musky base that is comprised of labdanum and cedarwood. A revolution in scent, its sophisticated sharpness cutting through the world of opulent amber-centric perfumes and weak colognes of the era.

I always thought of this as a summer fragrance, but it's the perfect scent for this time of year and the low temperature. The sour-candy-feel artificiality makes me remember this perfume, and this pleases me sometime but also upsets me sometime.Imagine the typical London Gentlemen's club filled with upper class men smoking fine cigars whilst sat on old leather chairs and you have found Blenhiem Bouquet. It is better than almost all the portraits and a lot of the newer but not new stuff like Juniper, Endymion and Quercus. However, the other day I thought I'd try a different fragrance to work and I wore it out for the first time.
