About this deal

All we know for sure is that three Classic Spacemen besides Benny will be in the movie, and they will have names. The new ones seem slightly thicker from these pictures, presumably to prevent the kind of common damage to the original helmets that Benny exemplifies. Here’s a comparison between an actual Classic Space Yellow space minifigure from my personal collection who is on the left, and Kenny who is on the right. Benny comes with an alternate face, with a dismayed expression – he’s the only one with an alternate face in this set.

LEGO 70841 Benny's Space Squad was a 68 piece The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part set with 5 minifigs released in 2019. Accessory elements include an air tank and helmet for each minifigure, Benny's walkie-talkie, Lenny's wrench and Kenny's metal detector. Benny’s Space Squad is out in most countries except for Australia, which will get these at retail in March 2019. I see the planet part of the space logo, but that seems more like a nod to history and typical amusement park rides rather than a teaser. To my memory, there were two different types of old-style helmets – you can see one variation on the left, which has a bit of a botch on the bottom chin, and the other which is more smooth.

It’s also, unfortunately, the only one of the makeover styles that hasn’t shown up in a set as of yet. Since then we have gotten green from the Exo-Suit, and a torso for light bluish gray in CMF S17's Rocket Boy which can be completed minus the airtanks. Contact Us LEGO, the LEGO logo, the Minifigure, and the Brick and Knob configurations are trademarks of the LEGO Group of Companies.Well the LEGO Company knows that there are suckers like me out there who miss our kid days and would love to see more LEGO space.

It’s a very solid five out of five, and even if you’re not into space, a worthwhile thing to have just for the fun of it. The Space scooter is a little smaller than its predecessor, in part due to the older wings now being discontinued. Sets in the theme are based on the heroes of Bricksburg and their adventures to save their beloved city from LEGO DUPLO invaders from outer space wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild. A great little set and like many others, I'd love to see a second set with the classic colors as well as another shot at the green guys.Compared to the original space sets of 1979, the slope with the printed classic space logo is blue, rather than grey and is a 4×2 slope rather than 3×2. Now that I have my hands on this colourful spacemen set, I gave a little bit of my time to make this review.

This tiny lunar buggy also bears a resemblance to some Classic Space vehicles, including 886 Space Buggy, but is more focused upon capturing the essence of those models rather than recreating them. Kenny takes inspiration from that design, featuring a yellow helmet without a broken chin strap which appears nearly identical to its predecessor. I told myself I would hold off for awhile and just keep tabs on the set’s popularity…and…well, the rest is history. I don't need to resell immediately but I would hate to lose money on it and it's an all or nothing type of deal.Heads up for those in the US, UK and EU - today is your final day to score 2x Insider Points on all purchases!
